Why Delphi Is a Trusted Provider with Addiction Center

Addiction Center is committed to providing trustworthy, accurate, and authoritative information about the rehab facilities we feature on our site. Therefore, we have partnered with the addiction treatment provider Delphi Behavioral Health Group, which was selected as a trusted provider with Addiction Center after a careful vetting process. Our vetting process included due diligence research such as visiting facilities, touring their programs, meeting staff, and talking with key individuals in the industry.

We were also impressed by the treatment outcomes that distinguish Delphi as a network of facilities that are nationally recognized for their medical and clinical excellence. A key qualification that makes Delphi a trusted provider is its access to an extensive network of referral partners, which assures that all who call Delphi will be referred to the right provider(s) based on their individual treatment needs.

Another qualification for partnership with Delphi was a commitment to clinical excellence and the use of evidence-based practices in order to achieve optimal treatment outcomes. (Please refer to the below checklist of things to look for in a trusted provider.) Delphi also provides clients with comfortable settings, low client-therapist ratios, and excellent case management services while delivering effective treatment methods in both medical and clinical settings.

While we’re committed to fulfilling our mission of providing trustworthy referrals and reliable, up-to-date information about facilities that appear on our site, we also encourage you to do your own research when weighing rehab options. To help you in this endeavor, we’ve put together the following checklist of things to look for in determining whether a prospective rehab center will provide you with high-quality care:

    • A full continuum of care means a comprehensive spectrum of services that includes all levels of care, from drug and alcohol detox to residential inpatient rehab and outpatient services, as well as aftercare and continuing care options. A full continuum allows clients to move seamlessly from one level of care to another without having to move between locations and ensures that clients access the level of care that best suits their treatment needs.
    • Certification by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and any additional licensing by an appropriate state body – JCAHO certification means that the facility is in compliance with the highest national standards for addiction treatment. Any additional licensing by an appropriate state body – for example, the Department of Children and Families (DCF) in Florida, is usually another indication that the provider can be trusted. (You can actually call the DCF and inquire about any history of complaints; if there are many complaints, that should be a red flag.)
    • A low client-therapist ratio generally means you’re more likely to get more one-on-one time with a therapist and personalized care. The average client-therapist ratio in the industry is 11:1.
    • Transparency about expectations has two dimensions. On the one hand, the facility should be forthright with what you can expect to receive in the way of treatment. They should convey a willingness to answer all of your questions (whether on the phone or in person) and by letting you tour the facility before signing on the dotted line. On the other hand, the facility should also be upfront about what is expected of you (in such things as payment responsibilities, medical procedures, residential requirements, and et cetera).
    • A Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program is the latest evidence-based practice for treating certain substance abuse disorders, such as opiate and alcohol use disorders, on the basis of research showing that MAT improves rates of recovery:
    • Naltrexone effectively prevented relapse among opiate addicts in early recovery; only 38 percent went back to using, as opposed to 88 percent who did not receive this medication, according to 2015 findings cited by Forbes.
    • Short-term Suboxone treatment “substantially improved” outcomes for opiate-addicted young adults, in a 2008 study in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
    • Among alcoholics in early recovery, Naltrexone drastically reduced alcohol cravings, decreased rates of alcohol relapse, and improved treatment retention in another pilot study.
    • Therapists with a “Certified Addiction Professional” credentialing have a minimum of 6,000 hours of clinical experience in a substance abuse treatment setting.
    • A diversity of evidence-based therapies and the flexibility to change therapists will be more likely to provide you with therapy that addresses your individual treatment needs, including a good therapist match. These factors can improve recovery outcomes, according to the research.
    • Real client reviews are another good source of insight into whether a prospective rehab center can be trusted to provide you with high-quality treatment. A high number of positive reviews, for example, can be helpful in gauging the provider’s level of commitment to you and your recovery.
