About Newport Institute for Young Adults
Accepting Young Adults Up to 35 years old.
Young adults struggling with trauma, substance use disorders (SUDs), and mental health issues can find healing and care in the Newport Institute. We take a comprehensive look at the life of someone staying with us in order to give them the best care possible. Our program focuses in on the 18-35 age range, and this specificity allows us to create specific, meaningful changes in our guests’ lives.
The Newport Institute residential program provides evidence-based treatments and experiential therapies that address multiple aspects of recovery. The young adult demographic treated in the residential program also receive 20 hours a week in collegiate mentoring, which is geared towards developing independence and confidence about entering the professional world. The bulk of their treatment, 30 hours per week, will be dedicated to the clinical and experiential therapy.
To ensure that these personalized and effective treatments succeed, the Newport Institute is staffed with credentialed, compassionate recovery professionals. Their credentials include PhD (Psychologist), LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor), and MD (Medical Doctor and Psychiatrist). We want to provide a healing opportunity for these young adults so they can get back on the right foot on the road to success.

Testimonials
Honestly, Newport Institute saved my life. It was something that I was terrified to do and to be honest, when I saw the photos, I didn't think it was real. But it was. And so helpful. One on one time with counselors and therapists was immensely helpful and I spent every day learning something new and more coping skills in each group. It wasn't easy. At all. But it was worth it. So very worth it. I came out stronger. Please don't ever be afraid to get help, because it does get better, and it's worth it.
