About Recovery Centers of America at Danvers

Nestled right outside of Boston, MA, Recovery Centers of America (RCA) Danvers provides distinguished acute treatment services (ATS), clinical stabilization services (CSS), and outpatient services. RCA Danvers offers a complete continuum of care for patients struggling with addiction to alcohol, heroin, opioids, cocaine, and prescription drugs. Our team of doctors, primary therapists, nurses, psychiatrists, and masters-level clinicians provide 24/7 medical supervision and treat each patient as a whole.

RCA’s Medically-Monitored Detox

In order to minimize withdrawal symptoms and ensure patient comfort and safety, RCA Danvers administers 24/7 medically-supervised detoxification. Licensed physicians and nurses deliver a customized process to meet each patient’s physical and mental needs. This tailored detox rids patients’ bodies of any remaining drugs or alcohol.

A Complete Continuum of Care

Our complete continuum of care starts with our medically-monitored detox and moves to our inpatient program. Here, all outside distractions are removed, so patients can become fully immersed in getting well. RCA Danvers’ comprehensive process provides each patient with:

  • A structured environment and recovery-focused programs
  • Evidence-based treatment (such as cognitive behavioral therapy)
  • Around-the-clock support and care, with 24/7 medical supervision and nursing support
  • An encompassing 12 Step program
  • Spirituality services to regain a sense of purpose
  • Relapse prevention
  • Coping skills
  • A positive recovery network

Then, patients have the option to transition to an outpatient program that fits their needs. RCA Danvers offers general outpatient (GOP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and partial hospitalization programs (PHP).

IOP is generally 3-hour sessions, 3 times a week, and is broken up into individual therapy, group therapy, and psychoeducation. GOP is once-a-week group therapy, though individual therapy may be an option. PHP is usually 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, with counseling services, therapy, and psychoeducation.

Guiding Families into Recovery with Interventions

At RCA, we believe interventions shouldn’t make a loved one feel ambushed; rather, it’s the opportunity for friends and family to show someone they love that they don’t have to deal with their addiction alone. Our experienced interventionists help families by:

  • Planning the intervention and preparing the family and friends
  • Leading the intervention and keeping the conversation on track
  • Performing an initial clinical assessment of the potential patient
  • Discuss various treatment options and financial considerations
  • Transition the patient into a residential drug and alcohol treatment progra

Be a Part of the Recovery Social Network

One of the best ways to sustain and support long-term recovery is to stay involved in a recovery social network. RCA’s Alumni Association helps people in recovery stay connected and provides the opportunity to meet new people, try new things, and see new places with your support network

  • Alumni groups and meetings
  • Attending alumni events and activities
  • Helping others who want to maintain long-term recovery
  • Ongoing education
  • Continuous support
  • Legal, family, and/or employment issue resolution
