With two locations in Columbus, Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry maintains a steadfast mission to provide comprehensive behavioral health services and recovery support to our patients and their families. Our fully trained and licensed team of medical care professionals is committed to ensuring each patient receives quality care tailored to his or her needs.

An Exceptional and Compassionate Team of Recovery Professionals

Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry is a 130-bed free-standing behavioral health hospital with treatment available to adults and seniors suffering from mental health issues. We provide care for a range of conditions, including:

  • Bipolar disorder
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Self-harm
  • Aggression
  • Substance abuse

Substances Use Disorders We Treat

  • Alcohol

A Continuum of Mental Health Care

We are prepared to help patients struggling from conditions that range from slightly problematic to crippling. In-depth assessments are conducted for all potential patients to determine the appropriate level of care necessary to reach his or her treatment goals. Depending on each patient’s needs, we create an individualized mental health and addiction treatment plan that may involve detox services and medication-assisted treatment. To achieve stabilization, patients may enter one or more of our six, distinct care units:
