Davie, Florida is part of Broward County, where many people are struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. Alcohol is the most commonly-abused substance in Broward County, where almost one-third of people seeking treatment for addiction in 2015 reported suffering from alcoholism. In 2016, police arrested 1,720 people in Broward County for driving under the influence and half of all deaths involving drugs in Broward County also involved alcohol.
